Joseph V. Barranca, CPA, is a 1993 graduate of St. Joseph's College in New York where he received a bachelor's degree in accounting. He received his CPA certificate in 1996. Joseph joined Capossela Cohen, LLC in 1999 and became a partner in 2005.

Joseph is licensed to practice in Connecticut and New York and has several years of experience in financial statement preparation and auditing, and income tax preparation and planning for closely held entrepreneurial companies and high net worth individuals in a variety of industries. His main area of expertise is in the construction industry, professional services, and nonprofit organizations. He has extensive experience in performing accounting and audit services for nonprofit organizations in the areas of health and human services, children's services, and private schools and the filing of the requisite nonprofit Federal and state information returns.

Outside of his professional career, Joseph is a dedicated father and husband and lives with his wife and two children in Newtown, Connecticut.

Joseph is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. He is a past president for the Bridgeport Area Group of CPA's chapter of the Connecticut Society of CPA's.
